Free Entrance to Ayala Museum on July 19th, Free Museum Day

July 19th is a Free Museum Day. Ayala Museum would like to share the celebration with everyone by giving a free admission inclusive of all galleries, activities and performances from 9AM - 6PM.

When you get there, you may also drop by at the nearest Greenbelt Chapel if you are Catholic and check Greenbelt for shopping, coffee shops and movies.  I have been to Ayala Museum for a many times. This is really place that should not be missed when visiting Makati.

FREE: Eiga Sai 16th Film Festival 2014 in Manila, Davao and Cebu

One of my favorites, the 16th Japanese Film Festival is coming in Manila, Davao and Cebu. Would you believe for the past  3 years I have not missed not one season of this? Probably because I am just a stone's throw away to the Shangrila Plaza Boni that's why.
Anyway, here's the list of schedule:

From Travelife's website, it is bringing "two wonderful, authentic and enjoyable performances featuring Czech culture" absolutely FREE! One is an Opera and another a traditional musical concert.  On Oct 20th,Noema Erba (a famous Czech soprano) will sing some of the world's favorite opera excerpts and on Oct 21st, the wonderful Kubalovci Boys' Group will be singing traditional songs from from Moravia and the Czech Republic. Youth Employment Forum will Send 5 Young Journalists/Bloggers to Geneva, Switzerland for FREE

According to the International Labour Organization (ILO) website, they will offer five young journalists/bloggers the opportunity to promote and cover the Youth Employment Forum, which will take place in Geneva from 23 to 25 May 2012. These lucky five will be will be invited to attend the ILO Youth Employment Forum, providing them with a unique opportunity to hear individual stories from over 100 young women and men from around the world who are active in the promotion of decent work for youth.

The Youth Employment Forum will serve as a platform for young people to voice their views on the current youth employment situation and to share ideas on what can be done to provide more and better jobs for their generation.

These lucky five journalists/bloggers will support the coverage of the event through social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter and blogs), articles, interviews and other relevant mediums. They will also report back to their regional and local communities, networks and organizations.

FREE Villancico concert at San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Dec 6 at7:30 pm

    • The historic San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila will be the venue for one the most special Christmas presentations of the year. This is "Villancicos ng Paskong Pilipino," a concert featuring Spanish and Filipino "villancicos", December 6 at 7:30 p.m.

      The "villancico" is an old music form from Spain and Portugal that has come to be associated with Christmas. "Villancicos ng Paskong Pilipino" hopes to create awareness about the Filipino villancico heritage and to bring back memories of Christmas celebrations in the Spanish era.

      Performing the villancicos will be the Tiples de Santo Domingo and the Santo Domingo Male Chorale known as the oldest boys' choir in the Philippines conducted by Eugene de los Santos and the Novo Concertante Manila with Arwin Tan as conductor.
