The Pokémon Company has announced exciting new details about Pokémon Pokopia, an upcoming title for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game is being planned and co-developed by The Pokémon Company together with GAME FREAK Inc. and KOEI TECMO GAMES. Pokémon Pokopia introduces a relaxing and creative gameplay experience where players can enjoy life in a town shared with Pokémon while building, exploring, and interacting with friends.

A brand-new video for the game was revealed during the Pokémon Presents broadcast held on February 27, 2026. Fans can watch the trailer titled “Pokémon Pokopia – Pokémon Day Special Trailer” through this link: https://youtu.be/rR_4nsCu-IA. The video provides a closer look at the game’s cozy atmosphere, town-building elements, and the various Pokémon that help players during their adventure.

One of the unique features introduced in Pokémon Pokopia is Stereo Rotom, a Rotom that lives inside a small stereo device. This cheerful Pokémon has a lively personality, and other Pokémon even refer to it as DJ Rotom. Throughout the game, players can discover CDs scattered across different areas. By giving these CDs to Stereo Rotom, players can unlock and play music tracks while exploring their town. This allows players to enjoy different music depending on their mood or destination, and some Pokémon, such as Ditto and others in town, may even start moving along to the rhythm.

Another helpful Pokémon players will encounter is Greedent (Cook), a special Greedent that carries cooking equipment all over its body. Known by other Pokémon as Chef Dante, this Greedent prepares delicious meals and treats everyone in town with its cooking. Players can learn various recipes from Greedent and prepare dishes that different Pokémon enjoy. Some meals even provide special benefits, such as boosting certain moves when eaten, making cooking an important feature that can help develop and strengthen the town.

Pokémon Pokopia also focuses heavily on multiplayer interaction. Players can invite up to three friends to visit their town or travel to their friends’ towns to explore together. During these visits, players can bring Pokémon companions from their own town and interact in various creative ways. One playful feature allows players to use Camouflage, transforming into objects around them. This mechanic can be used for fun activities like hide-and-seek with friends.

By working together, players and their friends can collaborate to build larger structures and improve the town even further. Cooperation plays a big role in expanding the town and creating new spaces for Pokémon and players to enjoy.

While the town offers a peaceful lifestyle, players can also embark on occasional adventures outside the town. Exploring distant areas of the vast landscape may lead to new encounters, hidden discoveries, and unique Pokémon. During these journeys, players may even gain the ability to transform into certain Pokémon such as Graveler and Magnemite. The developers also hinted that players might eventually encounter a Legendary Pokémon during their travels.

As players continue to develop their town, they will gain more options to personalize and decorate it according to their own preferences. Pokémon Pokopia is designed to give players the freedom to imagine and experience their own relaxing “slow life” alongside Pokémon. For more product details and future updates about Pokémon Pokopia, players can visit the official website at https://pokopia.pokemon.com/en-us/
