Last June 4, I got invited to a special BDO Mini Fiesta in Milaor, Camarines Sur — and let me tell you, it wasn’t your usual financial event. It was a fun, festive, and informative gathering that brought together Bicolano vloggers, content creators, BDO clients, and local residents for a day full of surprises, food, and games!
We kicked off the event with a Meet and Greet session with no less than Ms. Honey Reyes, Senior AVP from BDO’s Media Relations Department, along with Ms. Myra Sioco. Both of them flew in all the way from BDO’s main office in Ortigas Center, Pasig City — and we truly felt their dedication in reaching out to the communities in Southern Luzon.
They introduced us to three amazing services offered by BDO Network Bank in more remote or rural areas:
✔ Cash Agad
✔ BDO Network Bank Branches
✔ BDO Kabayan Savings / BDO Remit
For those hearing these terms for the first time — here’s a quick explainer:
• Cash Agad lets sari-sari store owners or local merchants act like mini-ATMs using a POS terminal. So even if there’s no bank nearby, people can withdraw using their ATM or cash card. Super useful sa mga liblib na lugar!
• BDO Network Bank is BDO’s way of bringing banking closer to communities that are far from big cities. From savings to loans and remittances — everything is made accessible.
• Kabayan Savings is specially made for OFWs and their families. It allows them to easily receive remittances from abroad, and access the money through a linked debit card. If you’re an OFW or may kapamilya abroad, this is one of the best savings options out there!
After the short talk, we played mini games about these three services. May trivia, pa-fast talk questions, and yes — may pa-prizes! I also met some Bicolano vloggers from Naga, CamSur, Albay, and Sorsogon — and it felt good to finally meet fellow content creators in person!
And of course… free buffet dinner after! 🍽️

It was such a refreshing experience to see a big bank like BDO really making an effort to connect with people in provinces — not just through services, but with real, genuine community engagement.
If you live in the provinces or have family in far-flung areas, Cash Agad and BDO Network Bank are game-changers. And for OFW families, Kabayan Savings is a must-have.
Kudos to BDO for bringing banking closer — and making it fun while at it!
