AirAsia now flies direct to Jakarta from Manila

Jakarta, Indonesia

During the Trip of Wonders Bloggers Trip to Indonesia in 2016, I flew from Manila to Jakarta with a stopover from Kuala Lumpur. I have nothing against the vibrant capital city of Malaysia but that time I wished there is a direct flight for those who are always conscious about how their time is spent. Fast forward to 2018, AirAsia has granted that wish of mine and also to the rest of fellow Filipinos! Please see below the official press release sent by our friends from AirAsia:

AirAsia is now flying from Manila to Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, further strengthening the airline’s commitment as a truly Asean carrier. AirAsia, voted the World’s Best Low Cost Carrier for nine years running, flew its maiden flight from Manila to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta today with send-off ceremonies held at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
