As a furmom who loves keeping things fresh at home without compromising my pet’s safety, I’ve been on the hunt for a pet-friendly air freshener for the longest time. Every time we take our dog out for a walk, I notice how much dust and outdoor smell sticks to his fur and somehow ends up inside the room. On top of that, I have this weird observation—my own body’s amoy-pawis (yes, kahit naka-aircon!) also lingers in the air. So imagine my frustration looking for a solution that smells good but won’t harm my pet.
I used to rely on a wellness-brand room spray that I genuinely love because its scent reminds me of luxury spas and 5-star hotels. But even though it claims to be “natural,” there’s no clear label if it’s safe for pets. I even messaged their IG, and yes—deadma. 🥲
That’s why I was so happy to try this new gel-type air freshener I recently discovered (linked below!). Here’s why I’m loving it so far and why I think it’s one of the best pet-safe air fresheners for home and car:
Made of Plant Extracts & No Added Chemicals
Unlike most commercial fresheners that trigger headaches or allergies, this one’s made with natural plant extracts and has no artificial fragrance or added chemicals. As someone sensitive to strong synthetic scents, this was a major plus for me.
Spill-Proof & Kid-Friendly Gel Type
It comes in a sealed gel container, so no liquid means no spills. I feel safe leaving it around knowing it’s kid-proof too—not something curious hands can play with. You can also stick it to the wall using the adhesive included. I have one near my dog’s area and another in my work-from-home space.
Mint Variant with 100% Citronella Oil
The Mint scent I’m using contains pure citronella oil, which is known to repel mosquitoes. I’m not sure how effective it is since we’re not in a mosquito-prone area, but I love the crisp, clean scent anyway. Perfect for neutralizing that post-walk "amoy-labas."
Strong Scent That Lasts
It claims to be 2x stronger than other brands, and I can confirm it really fills the entire room—especially when the windows are shut. According to the label, it can last up to 90 days, and so far, we’re only on our 20th day. Of course, olfactory fatigue can kick in (when your nose gets used to a smell), but the freshness still lingers.
Multi-Use: Room, CR, and Car
This is what sealed the deal for me. Most products are either for bathroom or room only. This one? Perfect for CR, bedroom, and even inside the car. I plan to try the Pineapple scent for our bathroom next. They also have other variants like Rose, Jasmine, White Musk, and Cologne.
While I do love the Mint scent, I do wish they release more aromatherapy-inspired scents soon. Something more herbal or relaxing like lavender, eucalyptus, or sandalwood—but still pet-safe. I’m not a fan of overly fruity scents, so a natural oil-based version would be an amazing upgrade (though I expect it to be a bit more expensive).
