Unang napansin ko agad is the smell. In fairness, may konting takam effect siya from a human nose perspective. Compared sa ibang wet dog food brands na I find somehow masangsang, this one is not. Yung ibang brands, ayoko talaga ilagay sa ref pag may natira kasi strong nga yung amoy pero this one is not. Hindi rin masyado mabaho ang amoy sa hininga ng dog ko after kumain.
Pagdating sa texture, hindi siya yung typical na wet food paste just like other wet food brands. Talagang merong chunks na for me mas nai-enjoy ang mga dogs to eat and chew this like real meat. Definitely, this is not 100 percent meat. Like most affordable wet dog food in the Philippines, may fillers or extenders or parang gel siya.
One thing that caught my attention is their claim about having lower sodium compared to other brands. Pero personally, hindi ko siya makita clearly sa label for further proof. Walang specific sodium breakdown sa guaranteed analysis. I might need to research this further ha. Balikan ko ito.
Also during that same TikTok event, a representative mentioned that the product is “human grade" that they even taste a bit of it for quality assurance maybe. This doesn't entirely mean, humans can eat the whole thing for sure. I don't see it specifically mentioned on Goodest packaging. I think it is safe to say this is indeed safe in case ma-ingest ng tao accidentally.
What I saw on Goodest's packaging is it is compliant with AAFCO standards. Meaning kumpleto ang nutrients, balanced for dogs, and safe for regular feeding. Even brands like Royal Canin follow the same standard, so this is a good baseline.

Only downside of dog wet food from all brands is that it is bitin. I gave my dog one pack of 130 grams then I added rice and veggies, pero hindi pa siya mabusog. I ended up giving another pack of the smaller version which is 80 grams. So if you plan to use this daily, mas okay siya as part of a meal, not standalone.
Given how hot the weather is, I actually like using wet dog food for added hydration for my dog. This definitely really works well for dogs na hindi palainom ng tubig, hirap ngumuya or may dental problems, and seniors.
Goodest is winner pagdating sa price. Sobra. Parang lumalabas lang na P27 each ang one dozen nila the last time I ordered sa Lazada, tapos palagi naka 50 percent off or buy 1 take 1 sila sa mga social media accounts pag may mga major sales. In summary, if you are looking for a very affordable wet dog food in Manila that is safe, decent, and accessible, Goodest is the most practical choice.
