Three years ago, I joined an overnight tour package for Subic Beach in Matnog town of Sorsogon for the very first time. You can click HERE to check it out. On my second visit, I decided this time for a day tour with boodle fight Subic Beach tour package. We are really preoccupied with so many things to do, so we cannot really stay longer. We live an hour away in another town, Irosin we have to be mindful of the first and last trip schedule of public vehicles. The weather was NOT cooperative like our first visit, but we managed to still enjoy the beauty of Subic Beach in Matnog.
We arrived at 8 am in Matnog Tourism Office which is just in time for the boat's departure to Subic Beach. I was with my mom, my brother, my dog and a family who availed our Matnog day tour package. My sister was in Naga covering a brand event and so I was the one who facilitated the day tour. As expected, the crowd is huge because it is summer. Good thing, our day tour package to Subic Beach in Matnog Sorsogon comes with a tour guide. If not, I would have been in the limbo inside waiting for my turn to pay this and that. Around 9 am, our boat left and headed straight to Juag Lagoon. It was really raining so hard to be honest but the show must go on. There were approximately 50 people already also waiting for their turn to feed fishes. I am happy to see there are now two spots to take photos with a cute wooden signage of Juag Lagoon. Three years ago, there was only one. The last time, I was not able to go near Juag Lagoon but this time I left my dog to my brother. He said he feels so cold because of the rain and so he remained in the waiting area. I took the chance to come near these fishes with my mom. Glad I did because it is such a joy to see a bunch of fishes swimming and eating what the guests have thrown like small parts of fresh small fish and kibbles. Since there were not a lot of people that day which is because of bad weather, we were able to stay a little bit longer in there.
We then proceeded to Subic Dako, the longer stretch of white and pink sand. It is still raining heavily but of course everything must be done accordingly from the tour itinerary. The guests swam while me I coordinated with our contact for the boodle fight setup for our group.

Our food was served on a big and fresh banana leaves without any spoon and fork but that is perfectly fine. What better way to savor island foods than using our very own hands? By 1 pm, every one went back to swimming.
The group decided to leave at 2 pm instead of 4 pm just shortly before the sun showed up and the beautiful blue-green color of the sea also started to paint the whole beach. It was a regret I have to say. We then proceeded to our last stop which is Calitaan Cave. It is an underground cave with a beautiful mini-beach inside. To enter, you need to swim inder a rock hole. When it rains, the water current is too strong and sea snakes show up. Unfortunately, it was not the right time for us.
We headed back to the port where we came from this morning which is just few walks away from Matnog Tourism Office. As they say, third time's a charm so hopefully for my third visit I get to see the underground cave and who knows, another overnight stay again?
