POKEMON ASIA EVENT 2027

Since the release of the original Pokémon games, Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version launched in Japan in 1996. To mark its 30th anniversary, The Pokémon Company has announced a lineup of events and initiatives across seven cities in Asia: Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong.

Set to be the biggest Pokémon celebration in Asia in conjunction with Pokémon 30th Anniversary, the line up of events include PokéXciting!, Pokémon Run, Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, shopping mall campaigns, and more.

As part of the initial announcement, the “Pokémon Asia 30th Anniversary Official Site” is set to launch today, 3 June, at 12:00 PM JST. Mr. Susumu Fukunaga, Corporate Officer of The Pokémon Company stated, “This celebration is a tribute to everyone who has journeyed with us over the decades. Whether you are a current Trainer or a longtime fan returning to the world of Pokémon, we invite you to join us for this milestone experience. Of course, we’re also thrilled to bring the world of Pokémon to new fans in the Asian region. Therefore, we hope that this event creates a wonderful opportunity for people who are not yet familiar with Pokémon to discover it for the first-time.”

“We are pleased to bring to you a dedicated website to officially connect to our fans in Asia for each celebration in the seven cities. We hope everyone can look forward to the celebration together.” The “Pokémon Asia 30th Anniversary Official Site” is currently available in multiple languages such as English, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Indonesian languages. Visitors to the website can expect to see familiar faces such as their favourite starter Pokémon from different generations, adorning the website with party-like decorations and upbeat vibes. Other than major news announcements, visitors can also take a trip down memory lane to understand and discover Pokémon’s original history and storylines.

Marking the first information unveiling of its kind, PokéXciting! Announcements take centre stage as one of the key highlights of Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary celebrations in Asia. What is The Pokémon Company?

The Pokémon Company was established to manage the Pokémon brand. Currently, the company develops and produces video games, which is where Pokémon originates, as well as trading card games, animated TV series and movies, merchandise, tie-up promotions, events, and the Pokémon Center, directly managed Pokémon shops.

What is Pokémon?

Pokémon are fascinating creatures harboring a myriad of mysteries. Pokémon began with the Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version video games launched in Japan in 1996 for the Game Boy platform. Among the factors that have contributed to Pokémon’s success are the sheer enjoyment of capturing and raising Pokémon as a collection, and the opportunities Pokémon creates for communication through trading with other players or competing against them. Today, thanks to its amazing expansion into the realms of trading card games, TV anime, film, apps, merch and so much more, Pokémon is a name known and loved all around the world.
