If you are looking for a new cafe in Irosin, Sorsogon that combines aesthetic interiors, affordable food, and cozy vibes, then Haven Cafe deserves a spot on your list. Located in Brgy. San Juan near the Bulusan Jeep Terminal at the BIGMAC Store, this newly opened cafe is quickly becoming a favorite hangout for coffee lovers, students, families, and anyone looking for an Instagram worthy dining spot in town.
One of the first things you'll notice upon entering Haven Cafe is its clean and minimalist design. The interior features vibrant green accent walls paired with warm wood finishes, soft lighting, modern furniture, and stylish decorative pieces. The curved wall designs, glowing light accents, and artistic wall displays create a relaxing atmosphere that feels fresh and inviting. Every corner seems designed for photos, from the uniquely shaped mirror near the entrance to the cozy seating areas perfect for social media content.
The food presentation is equally appealing. During our visit, we tried the Cheesy Buldak Noodles, Chick n Fries, and several specialty drinks. The Cheesy Buldak Noodles stood out because the spicy sauce is served separately, allowing customers to control their preferred spice level. This is a thoughtful touch for those who enjoy Korean flavors but may not want overwhelming heat. Extra seaweed is also available for those who want additional texture and flavor. This dish easily earns a 5 out of 5 rating.
The Chick n Fries was another enjoyable option. The fries were generously topped with cheese sauce that was creamy without being overly salty. Combined with tender and juicy chicken pieces that were easy to chew, the dish offered a balanced flavor that many diners will appreciate.
As for the drinks, expect beverages that lean on the milky side. The flavors are not overpowering, making them enjoyable for those who prefer lighter and less sweet cafe drinks. Their colorful matcha based beverages and frappes are visually attractive and pair well with the cafe's modern aesthetic.
One of Haven Cafe's biggest strengths is its affordability. Most menu items are priced below P200, making it a budget friendly destination for students, friends, and families looking for a casual dining experience without spending too much.
The cafe also received positive feedback from my sister, a former line cook at a fine casual restaurant in BGC, who approved of the food quality and overall dining experience. There are a couple of things to keep in mind. The space is relatively small, so larger groups may find it crowded during busy hours. There is also currently no restroom available on site. Despite these limitations, the cozy atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices, and Instagrammable interiors make Haven Cafe worth visiting.
If you are exploring cafes in Irosin, Sorsogon, Haven Cafe offers a refreshing combination of aesthetic ambiance, affordable meals, and satisfying drinks that make it a great addition to the local food scene.
