This year, McDonald’s Philippines hopes to change that by offering select groups a chance to reunite—at no cost. Through its nationwide initiative called “Grand Reunion at McDo,” the company will open select McDonald’s Party Rooms and transform them into festive venues for heartfelt gatherings, all happening simultaneously across the country. It’s McDonald’s way of bringing warmth, comfort, and shared happiness back to those who need it most.
Chief Marketing Officer Ada Lazaro explains the deeper meaning behind the campaign. According to her, creating dedicated spaces for meaningful gatherings reflects Filipino values of pagsasama-sama, pagsasalo-salo, and gratitude. In a season filled with hectic schedules, rising expenses, and emotional pressure, Grand Reunion at McDo offers a refreshing alternative: a simple, inclusive, and effortless celebration where people can focus on connection rather than preparation.
How to Join McDonald’s Grand Reunion
To be part of the celebration, customers are invited to visit the official McDonald’s Philippines Facebook Page and share their story on the Grand Reunion post. They may talk about why they want to reunite, what kept them apart, and why their bond deserves to be celebrated.
On December 8, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, McDonald’s will welcome chosen groups of up to 10 members each. Two groups will share each Party Room, accommodating a total of 20 guests per branch. Participants may select their preferred McDonald’s location.
Selection will be based not only on the uniqueness of their story but on how well it captures the true spirit of togetherness during the Christmas season.
Every group will enjoy generous boxes of Honey Butter Chicken McDo, made even more special with McDonald’s “shake, tear, and sprinkle” ritual using Garlic Parmesan and Snow Cheese Powder. It’s a simple, playful moment that turns a shared meal into something more memorable. Each gathering will also have a McDonald’s Happiness Host, whose role is to guide light games, toasts, and moments of connection to ensure that the reunion feels intimate and meaningful.
Celebrating Filipino Values Through Togetherness
Lazaro emphasized that the initiative reinforces core Filipino values—family, friendship, gratitude, and community. By offering a comfortable space for people to reconnect, McDonald’s aims to give groups the chance to celebrate each other in a meaningful and stress-free way.
