Alright let's accept it, we are already more than half way of the year.  It is as if I want to stop the time because I feel like I haven't accomplished enough. Well let's move on. This is now the best time to start planning your whereabouts and booking flights in advance for the cheapest rate for next year's travel. 

Good news, the Malacanang Palace from the office of the President of the Philippines has just released the 2016 Official List Of Philippine Holidays & Long Weekend Schedule Per  Proclamation No 1105 series of 2015. 

Here is the list of the  official Philippine holidays in 2016

Regular holidays:
January 1 - New Year's Day
March 24 - Maunday Thursday
March 25 - Good Friday
April 9 - Araw ng Kagitingan
May 1 - Labor Day
June 12 - Independence Day
August 29 - National Heroes Day
November 30 - Bonifacio Day
December 25 - Christmas Day
December 30 - Rizal Day

Special (Non-Working) Holidays
February 8 - Chinese New Year
February 25 - EDSA People Power Revolution
March 26 - Black Saturday
August 21 - Ninoy Aquino Day
November 1 - All Saints Day

Additional Special (Non-Working) Days
January 2
October 31
December 24
December 31

Regarding Eid'l Fitr and Eidul Adha, the dates will be announced according to the Islamic holidays in their own calendar as soon as it is determined.
