Introducing SM Kenko Spa at Winford Hotel Manila

SM KENKO SPA IN WINFORD HOTEL MANILA

Before heading to my staycation at Le Blanc Hotel and Resort in Antipolo, Rizal last weekend, I dropped by to Winford Hotel Manila in Tayuman to check out SM Kenko Spa. It's a rush hour that I really wish I won't get stuck in traffic. I do love wellness and relaxation so no matter what whenever there's an opportunity to get a luxurious body massage and spa in Manila, it is always a yes to me.

After an MRT ride and an LRT ride, I reached the posh Winford Hotel Manila for the first time! My first impression at this hotel is that this is a luxurious place thus my pampering session should be the same too.  For some reasons, plans changed but we were able to tour around SM Kenko Spa inside Winford Hotel Manila. And yes, we'll be finally able to  have our pampering package the next time we visit.

Introduction to SM Kenko Spa

I thought SM Kenko Spa is part of the famous chain of megamalls in the country but yes, I stand corrected. It's actually a Japanese health spa that offers super good and relaxing packages related to wellness and pampering.  However, the exterior design doesn't say so that this is a Japanese-inspired spa unless you see  a staff wears a Japanese-inspired dress. I was looking for colorful, bright lanterns, cherry blossom flowers and more. I think they opt for a simpler spa that looks as it is. While it may not have the grandiose look of the Mandala Spa and Resort in Boracay or Nurture Village in Tagaytay, I like the positive vibe though that it spreads to busy individuals in Manila who is looking for a quick respite.

Also, this is the first time I have seen a spa that has a room following a dorm style. Meaning, there's one big room where all the beds for the ladies and another one for the boys. I am used to having my "own private space" when I am getting pampered actually but yeah, it isn't a big deal to me.
