Finding a truly pet-friendly hotel in Makati isn’t always easy, especially if you’re traveling with pets of different sizes. That’s why my recent staycation at Seda Residences Makati with my medium-sized shih tzu dog and my two fur-parent friends—who brought their tiny but mighty Chihuahuas—felt like such a refreshing and hassle-free experience. And even though our dogs were small and medium, I actually met a large chocolate Labrador staying there too, which proves that Seda Residences Makati genuinely welcomes big dogs.
Before anything else, I need to share an important reminder that I wish someone told us: Since we were three friends checking in, two of us (including me) arrived early while the friend whose name was on the booking was running late. Even though we were already in the lobby with our dogs, the hotel did not allow us to check in because our names were not listed in the reservation email. They required a written authorization or updated booking before we could proceed. It was honestly a hassle. So here’s a sincere tip: Make sure the person whose name is on the reservation is present during check-in, or have them update the booking ahead of time to include your names. Save yourself the waiting and stress.
Once that was sorted, everything else went smoothly. Seda Residences Makati is located inside a mall, which is incredibly convenient for fur parents. Restaurants, cafés, groceries, and even emergency supplies are literally downstairs. And since it’s right beside the Makati Business District, the location feels safe, accessible, and very city-friendly.
The room was surprisingly huge, beautifully designed, and felt like a clean, modern condo unit. Plenty of space for medium and small dogs to roam around. The kitchenette was complete with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and enough countertop space to prepare meals or wash dog bowls. Though we ended up ordering food from their restaurant which we did not regret because everything is yummy!
The one-bedroom unit we booked comes with super helpful for long stayers or anyone traveling with pets. I jokingly wished I brought dirty clothes just to try it out.
Pets are not allowed to swim in the hotel swimming pool, but they can walk around the pool deck and the surrounding areas for fresh air and photos. Just no dipping in the water.
One of the highlights of staying here is the free breakfast buffet for humans. Dogs aren’t allowed in the breakfast room (which is standard), but the food selection is solid: a mix of Western and Filipino dishes like omelettes, cereals, bread, sausages, salad, rice meals, and more. Definitely one of the bonuses of staying at Seda.
The skyscraper views from our room were gorgeous. Makati’s skyline looks stunning at any time of the day, whether you’re having morning coffee or winding down at night.
We were total of three ladies here. One slept in the bed with her chihuahuas, the other one in the extra bed we requested and me in the couch sofa with my dog. I don't mind at all because it is comfy and also quite spacious for me haha!
Overall, our pet-friendly staycation at Seda Residences Makati was smooth, spacious, and genuinely welcoming for pets—small, medium, and even large breeds. It comes with pet fee and refundable pet deposit.
