Finding a truly pet-friendly hotel in Makati isn’t always easy, especially if you’re traveling with pets of different sizes. Actually, it is called serviced residence to be exact. That’s why my recent staycation at Seda Residences Makati with my medium-sized shih tzu dog and my two furparent friends—one of them brought her tiny but mighty Chihuahuas—felt like such a refreshing and hassle-free experience. And even though our dogs were small and medium, I actually met a large chocolate Labrador staying there too, which proves that Seda Residences Makati genuinely welcomes big dogs.
Before anything else, I need to share an important reminder that I wish someone told us: Since we were three friends checking in, two of us (including me) arrived early while the friend whose name was on the booking was running late. Even though we were already in the lobby with our dogs, the hotel did not allow us to check in because our names were not listed in the reservation email. They required a written authorization or updated booking before we could proceed. It was honestly a hassle. So here’s a sincere tip: Make sure the person whose name on the reservation is present during check-in, or have them update the booking ahead of time to include your names. Save yourself the waiting and stress.
Once that was sorted, everything else went smoothly. Seda Residences Makati is located inside a mall, which is incredibly convenient for all of their guests. Restaurants, cafés, groceries, and even emergency supplies are literally downstairs. And since it’s right beside the Makati Business District, the location feels safe, accessible, and very city-friendly.
The room was surprisingly huge, beautifully designed, and felt like a clean, modern condo unit. Plenty of space for big, medium and small dogs to roam around. The kitchenette was complete with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and countertop space to prepare meals. Though we ended up ordering food from their restaurant which we did not regret because everything is delicious and arrived on time!
If there's one thing that stood out for me, it is the laundry machine! Seda Residences Makati is perfect for those who came from a long flight or those having in between trips. They can wash their dirty clothes and leave with freshly washed clothes they can do on their own. Another thing that caught my eyes is the digital weighing scale. Like, what's the use of this haha! Haven't seen this object in the rest of accommodations I have been in the past.
Pets are not allowed to swim in the hotel swimming pool, but they can walk around the pool deck and the surrounding areas for fresh air and photos. Just no dipping in the water.
One of the highlights of staying here is the free breakfast buffet for humans. Dogs aren’t allowed in the breakfast area so you have to leave them in your room. Food selection is a mix of Western, Mediterranean and Filipino dishes so make sure you come here with empty stomach.
The skyscraper views from our room were gorgeous. Makati’s skyline looks stunning at any time of the day, whether you’re having morning coffee or winding down at night.
We were total of three ladies who checked in. One slept in the bed with her chihuahuas, the other one in the extra bed we requested and me in the couch sofa with my dog. I don't mind at all because it is comfy and also quite spacious for me haha!
Overall, our pet-friendly staycation at Seda Residences Makati was smooth, spacious, and genuinely welcoming for pets—small, medium, and even large breeds. It comes with pet fee and refundable pet deposit.
If you want another pet-friendly accommodation in Makati that has NO pet fee for regular rooms, I suggest Coro Hotel Manila. They only accept small to medium size pets for now. Click HERE for my detailed review.
