Accommodation Options
De Goerke Hillside Beach Resort currently offers two houses for rent: the Main House and Nora’s House.
The Main House features two available rooms, a dining area, and a spacious living area where guests can sit back and relax. There is also a mini bar where imported drinks are available for sale, making it a nice place to unwind after spending time by the sea.
One of the rooms offered here is the Special Deluxe Room, which costs ₱1,500 per night for two persons. Guests who need additional space can request an extra bed for ₱500.
The second accommodation option is Nora’s House, which is smaller but still very comfortable. It is air-conditioned and also has an attic room for two people equipped with an electric fan. The bathroom is spacious and even includes a bathtub, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day outdoors.
Inside Nora’s House, guests will also find a mini library and a cozy living room that leads to a small balcony overlooking a garden below. It’s a quiet corner where you can sit, read a book, or simply enjoy the fresh air.
Altogether, the resort can accommodate up to 25 guests, making it suitable for family gatherings, barkada trips, or small group staycations. They also accept day tour visitors for those who want to enjoy the beach for a few hours.
Dining by the Beach
One of the highlights of the resort is the semi-open dining area located right by the beach. Eating here feels extra relaxing because you get a clear view of the sea while enjoying your meals. The fresh breeze and the sound of gentle waves create a very calming atmosphere.
Guests can also order food from the in-house menu if they prefer to have meals prepared during their stay.
Beach Activities
Aside from swimming, there are several simple activities guests can enjoy. Visitors can try fishing for ₱500 per hour, or rent a row boat for ₱450 for up to three hours to explore the nearby waters.
One activity that everyone enjoyed was gathering small edible sea snails in the shallow waters right in front of the resort. Even close to the shore, you can already find these shells, which locals often cook as seafood. It was fun to collect them together, especially since the water was shallow enough to walk through.
Seeing these small sea snails thriving in the area is actually a good sign that the coastal waters here are still clean and healthy, which adds to the charm of the place.
Calm Waters Perfect for Families
Another thing that stood out about this beach is how calm the sea is. The waves here are much gentler compared to beaches in Gubat, Sorsogon, making it a great spot for families with kids or for travelers who simply want a quiet swim.
Connectivity and Parking
Even though the resort feels secluded, WiFi is available, and the signal of major telecommunications networks in the Philippines is also strong in the area.
For those arriving by car, parking is available at the beach side of Tata Birting, where guests can leave their vehicles before taking the short boat ride to the resort.
